I just found out (thanks again to Allison Weiss) that Kristine Tuna is also a great musician. Add another person to AW’s section. How did I not know about her music sooner? Soooo good!!!!
2Thanks to Allison Weiss and Tancred for posting my nerdy chart. I wanted to apologize to Kristine Thune. I just made a chart of musicians. However, if I included awesome designers, illustrators, or photographers Kristine Thune would have been included along with (in no particular order) Bradley Hale, Shervin Lainez, Emy Storey, Rachel Antonoff, and Lindsey Byrnes etc.
Map It Out…Challenge
More than 5 years ago my friend E-Mailed me a clip of Tegan and Sara’s performance of My Number on Letterman (you know the one from 2000 that we have all watched). My friend wrote “I have a new band for you…Tegan and Sara…let me know what you think.” What I thought, and wrote was “I love this band; I’ve watched the clip at least 5 times.” I’ve been listening to much more Tegan and Sara since that time, and they have, without knowing, enhanced my life. I have been introduced to so many great bands because of them.
When listening to my iPod on the drive home today I decided I would map out all the bands I know because of Tegan and Sara. I challenge everyone else to do the same; it would be awesome to see how Tegan and Sara or other artists have introduced you to new music.
Note: I’m not artist, and thus this does not look as awesome as it could with creative fonts.
Also note: Allison Weiss has introduced me to soooo many great bands that she just has her own section.
